Hooray!! I'm engaged!!!!

Friday night was quite possibly the best night of my life so far. I have the most romantic, fantastic FIANCEE (!!!!!!) in the world.

Aaron totally surprised me by taking me out for dinner. He made reservations at Russo's in Cuyahoga Falls. We were seated in a little booth in the corner. We ordered a bottle of wine and some great food. Aaron was more nervous and antsy than usual. Just as we got our wine he said he left his wallet in the car and went to get it. We had potato pancake appetizers, which were delish. Next came the salad. Also delish. We ordered our food.

As we were waiting for our food, I'm pretty sure i said something sarcastic (but funny). He looked at me and asked why did he love me. He then started counting off reasons on his fingers. Finally he looked me dead in the eye and said, You know how much I love you right? He reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a little blue and red box. He got down on one knee and said "Erin Lynn Gordon, will you marry me?" I immediately started to sob and shake. Of course, I said YES! I had no idea even which hand the ring went on. Aaron said he double checked it with my mom the night before. I barely at any dinner because I was so excited!! He mentioned that he had other things planned for the night. He wanted to take me back to the bar where we first met, which was perfect by me!!

My ring is absolutely beautiful. He had it custom made at a jeweler in wadsworth. It is white gold in a tulip setting. It's a little too big, but we are getting that taken care of today. I love it.

However, the night just got better. He took me to see the Christmas lights at Blossom. We got done there and we headed to downtown akron. We made a pit stop at a bar before we went to the bar where we first met, Lux. As we walked into Lux, the bouncer asked if we were here for the party, Aaron quickly said nope and we headed upstairs. As soon as we got to the top of the steps, i noticed that our friends and family were all there! He had arranged an engagement party for me! It was an amazing night, and everything was perfect.

I did, however learn a valuable lesson. NEVER mix a bottle of wine and lots of shots. It has take me a few days to recover from the evening. But it will be one that I remember FOREVER!!

I'M ENGAGED!! YIPPEE!!!!!!

Christmas!

I'm estatic to announce that I have a brand new nephew! Jacoby Maxwell Dell! He is the cutest little thing. Pudgy cheeks and lots of dark dark hair. He made his way into our family on November 14th, early in the morning. He's healthy and happy, a blessing for my sister and mikey!!!

It's hard to believe that Christmas is just a litle over a month away! The time has just flown. We are still trying to put together our house, and still working on completing the back door project. Aaron has begun the process of drywall, but it's not much fun... Hopefully by the time that Santa rolls through our neighborhood, we'll have a full wall in the kitchen!

A friend for the Unster

Today Aaron and I were excited when we woke up. We were going to introduce Uno to another dog, who we'd hopefully be able to adopt. My insurance agent contacted us with the news one of her clients had to get rid of their boxer because they were moving into an apartment. At first I thought that maybe Amy and Jason would like the dog. But they adoped Lucky Lady, so we thought we'd give it a go.

The owner brought her boxer, Bettis, over about 11:00 today. Bettis is almost two years old and a brindle, a little lighter than Uno. He is not fixed but very timid and loving. However, Uno wanted nothing to do with the pup. He was aggressive towards him. They played for a few minutes, but Uno kept lunging at him.

So needless to say, we did not adopt the pup. If anyone knows someone looking to adopt a loving, gently pup let me know! If they dont find a good home for him they will have to take him to the humane society! YUCKO!!

Brrr...its cold in here

Life in our new house has been an adventure. Our plan was to get as much work done as possible before we moved in. However our lovely landlord changed that when she told us we had to be out at the end of August.

We got the majority of the painting done before we moved. I will say that if I NEVER see another paintbrush or bucket of primer, it will be too soon. Moving day went very smoothly thanks to my wonderful family, Aaron's mom and step dad and our great new neighbors, Tom and Sarah.

My family went on vacation the week after we moved and unfortunately Aaron could not go with us. So he was left at home to work on the house! While I was away Aaron and his friends played with chainsaws in the kitchen. Sounds scary, right? They took out a window and put in the sliding glass door!!!!! It looks great and they did a wonderful job. However, seeing pictures of them with chainsaws and a big hole in my new house was a little frightening. Our first big mishap was the well pump going bad. I was still relaxing on the beach, when Aaron called to say that we had no water. When all was said and done, we needed to buy a well pump. Luckily my parents came to the rescue and we have running water!!

We have been in our new house three months. Each day we get a little more done on the house. Aaron is still working on electrical stuff and completing the back door project. He only had one mishap with a live electric wire and a small, but tingly shock. Just an FYI NEVER EVER cut into a live electrical wire.

Our next project will be to blow insulation into the attic. Hopefully that will warm us up. Well at least me. Aaron hates it when I put my cold cold feet on him.

I'm going to post pictures of our new house and the progress we've made. Perhaps one of these days we will have a housewarming party. Not, however until we turn the heat on. BRR.....IT'S COLD IN THIS HOUSE!!!
